Everything you need to know about all the red cards from today’s Ligue 1 action: Struggling Nice lost 1-0 to Clermont on Sunday, finishing with nine men. Brest and Angers won, but Auxerre won.
Nice have not yet earned the win that they had last year. They lost 1-0 away to Maccabi Haifa in the first leg of their Europa League playoff game.
Saif-Eddine Khaoui scored the only goal in the fifth minute of play. Nice lost Mario Lemina in the 80th minute and was shown a red card for a tackle from behind. In the next two minutes, Jean-Clair Todibo collected his second yellow before receiving a yellow card for dissent.
Nice sank to 16th after the 0-1 against Toulouse, where Armand Lauriente put his team on the board with a free kick in the second minute. Rafael Ratao pounced on a poor clearance by center-back Julien Laporte to level in the 30th minute.

There were four red cards in the first half of the game, where Auxerre gained their first victory in Ligue 1 since May 2012. After Mamadou Sakho scored a goal in the 30th minute, both teams were down a player by the time Nuno da Costa equalized in the 70th minute, both teams had lost a player. Montpellier midfielder Khalil Fayad was sent off for his foul in the 46th minute and Auxerre striker M’Baye Niang for a second yellow card in the 51st minute.
Mathias Autret scored the winner with a 75th-minute penalty, followed by Khouma Saifi being sent off. Angers were already behind to a 10th-minute goal by Jeremy Le Douaron when Halid Sabanovic was shown a straight red in the 35th minute.
The Eagles returned after consecutive losses and the result was a 1-1 draw against Strasbourg. They scored three goals by the end of the game with Achraf Dari scoring two and Sofiane Boufal one.
