For the first time since 2017, the European basketball championship will take place, and some of the sport’s best stars will compete.
While Giannis Antetokounmpo of Greece and Nikola Jokic of Serbia are both two-time NBA MVP award winners, Luka Doncic will try to lead Slovenia to back-to-back EuroBasket titles. Not to be forgotten is France, a team with plenty of experience headed by Rudy Gobert and Evan Fournier.

Eurobasket 2022 is when. dates of the European basketball championship
Phase I: September 1–September 8,
Final round: September 10–September 18
EuroBasket 2022’s group stage will start on Thursday, September 1, and finish on Thursday, September 8. The championship game will take place on Sunday, Sept. 18, on the final day of the knockout phase, which starts on Saturday, Sept.
Which nations will compete in EuroBasket 2022?
EuroBasket 2022 will include participation from 24 countries. Four groups will be formed from those teams.
The group stage consists of five games for each side. The top four clubs from each group will then advance to the knockout round, where they will compete in win-or-go-home matches until a winner is determined.

Format
The group stage, which consists of four groups of six teams, will kick off the competition. Each team will face the other five teams in each group once during a round-robin game for each group. The top four teams in each group proceed to the knockout round and gain two points for a victory and one point for a defeat. If two teams are deadlocked on points, the first tiebreaker will be their head-to-head matchup. Point differential will be used as the next tiebreaker, and if required, points scored.
