Eoin Morgan the popular England Cricket batsman that has represented England and Ireland both in international cricket. He is popular and earned his respect as an inventive and free-stroking batsman. He began his career as an Irish Player and was later approached by England to play for them.
Eoin Morgan gained recognition across nations while playing in England. He is a good middle-order batsman, but for the last few years, he has been dealing with poor form. The captain of the ODI and T20 England National Cricket Team, he also captained Kolkata Knight riders in 2021. However, due to poor performance, he went unsold in the mega IPL auction 2022.
International Career
Eoin Morgan started his career at the age of 16. In the 2007 World Cup he could only score 91 runs in 9 games after being signed by Middlesex. His desire to play for the England National Cricket team was long anticipated. After he secured Ireland’s qualification for the 2011 World Cup, he was called up by England in 2009.
Eoin Morgan scored back-to-back match-winning innings for England against South Africa after his debut. His approach and hitting ability were compared with Kevin Pieterson. He played his best in world Twenty 20 with powerful shots. His first ODI against Bangladesh raised his reputation in the England team.
When Eoin Morgan was appointed as captain, he scored 50 in 19 innings. His captaincy in domestic innings was poorly followed by the 2015 world cup captaincy. However, after a change in the coaching regime, his progress was fast. In 2019, he became the first England captain to win the ODI world cup.

IPL Career
After his good start with the England team, he was awarded a new contract for the third season in IPL 2010. He was brought by Bangalore but failed to make an impression. Later he represented Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2015 &2016 and Kings XI Punjab in 2017.
Eoin Morgan made a comeback in IPL in the 2020 auction with Kolkata knight riders where he was rewarded captaincy in midseason. He took Kolkata to the IPL final in 2021, but he was not performing as a batsman. In the 2022 mega auction, he went unsold due to his last season.

Born in Dublin, he is often called “Moggie.” The left-hand batsman completed his schooling in Dublin and college in London. He is currently married to Tara Ridgway, a Fashion house worker in England. He has two brothers and sisters named Gareth Morgan, Gavin Morgan, Laura Morgan, and Gwen Morgan respectively.
