From July 13 to July 30, the foundation based affiliation will hold its fourth season at Pune’s Balewadi Sports Complex. This indicates the association’s return after three years.
Elena Timina, a four-time Olympian, and Jorg Bitzigeio, a former head coach of the German women’s team, will lead the coaching staff for the upcoming Ultimate Table Tennis (UTT) season.
After three years, the establishment-based show will return, with the fourth season taking place at the Balewadi Sports Complex in Pune from July 13 to July 30. Each team will have a head coach from India and a coach from another country. A coach draft is likely to take place at the beginning of the following month.
Timina is a well-known figure on the international table tennis circuit in addition to being a member of the Russian team that won the World Cup in 1994. While serving as their interim coach between 2012 and 2017, she led the Dutch public women’s group to three gold and one silver medals at the 2015 European Games.
She had recently helped RPSG Dissidents and Shaze Challengers win the UTT and place second.
Bitzigeio has also addressed Germany at various levels and has a strong teaching resume. In addition, he coached the US national team to 47 medals at the Pan American Games since 2017 and led the German women’s team to a bronze medal at the World Team Championships in 2010.
Slobodan Grujic, Vesna Ojstersek, Zoltan Batorfi, and Francisco Santos are among the other new coaches who will show up in Season 4.
The men’s Portugal team that won the most European games in 2015 was led by Santos. In contrast, Batorfi and Ojstersek have independently coached public women’s teams in Hungary and Slovenia. Grujic drove the Serbian men’s group from 2009 to 2011. The Indian mentors are A Muralidhara Rao, Anshul Garg, N Ravichandran, Parag Agrawal, Sachin Shetty, and Somnath Ghosh.
Since their fundamental playing days, Rao has arranged Achanta Sharath Kamal and K Shamini, two of the best paddlers in the country. The country’s junior national teams have been coached by Garg and Agrawal, and the senior Indian team has been coached by Ravichandran and Shetty to several medals at international competitions. Sreeja Akula, the nonstop open legend, is ready by Ghosh.
