El Chadaille Bitshiabu, a center-back for Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), is reportedly attracting interest from Fulham, Bayern Munich, Leeds United, Red Bull Salzburg, and Fulham. Jeunes Footeux (thanks to PSGTalk) claims that Les Parisiens will decide on his future given that his current contract runs out at the end of the following season. This season, he has appeared in five Ligue 1 games.
There aren’t many obstacles in the way of the 17-year-old’s path to regular first-team football. He is one of four natural center-back options for manager Christopher Galtier, along with captain Marquinhos, Presnel Kimpembe, and Sergio Ramos. This season, Danilo Pereira, who has spent his entire career playing defensive midfield, has played center back a lot.
This demonstrates that the French coach could benefit from adding a more natural center back to his team. Additionally, Ramos, who is 36 years old, could leave as a free agent this summer. PSG’s willingness to give Bitshiabu more playing time remains to be seen as an option for the upcoming season. If not, the U18 France international appears to have a lot of potential suitors.
He might be interested in playing in the Premier League and working his way up the ladder with teams like Leeds United and Fulham. However, considering the player’s age and ceiling, it shouldn’t come as a surprise if PSG is prepared to make a new offer to extend his contract.
Following El Chadaille Bitshiabu’s first start for PSG, Christophe Galtier said:
In the absence of Juan Bernat, he was compelled to play as a left-back. Manager Christophe Galtier had to adjust his strategies to accommodate the teen because he plays center back. The Frenchman played for 79 minutes before the manager let him go. Galtier gave a speech after the final whistle, praising Bitshiabu, and he said (via Get Football News France):
“We realized that he was not comfortable offensively,” the coach said, “so we had to change our organization a little bit to play the ball out of our defense.” “He was very good defensively, and considering the context, it was a very successful first outing for him.”
Only three of his ten competition appearances for the capital-based club have included him in the starting XI. In his team’s two most recent league matches, against LOSC Lille Metropole (4-3), and Olympique de Marseille (3-0), he was not used as a substitute. El Chadaille Bitshiabu made his PSG debut on December 28, 2013, when his team defeated RC Strasbourg 2-1 in Ligue 1.
