On Day 3 of the current second Test between Australia and Pakistan at Melbourne Cricket Ground on Thursday, December 28, a snuggling pair was spotted on the big screen.
The crowd in Melbourne erupted in amazement as soon as the newlyweds appeared on the big screen.
A female could be seen snuggling with a boy, who had his arms around her, in a video that was doing the rounds on X, previously Twitter.
They buried their faces in shame as the child departed his spot, waving to the throng. Watch the MCG video below:
Couples proposing to one other at stadiums are regular, but this was a unique occurrence in which a boy and girl were observed snuggling.
Mitchell Marsh and Steve Smith helped Australia establish a 200-plus lead over Pakistan in the second Test at the MCG
On Day 3 of the second Test against Pakistan at the MCG, Mitchell Marsh and Steve Smith helped Australia build a 241-run lead. Marsh scored 96 runs from 130 deliveries, including 13 boundaries, falling four runs shy of his century.
Meanwhile, Smith contributed 50 points on 76 deliveries, including three goals. The pair combined for 153 runs to help the hosts recover from a 16/4 deficit.
Pakistan’s Shaheen Afridi and Mir Hamza each took three wickets.
Australia batted first and scored 318 in 96.5 overs, with Marnus Labuschagne leading the way. The right-handed batter scored 63 runs on 155 pitches, including five home runs. Usman Khawaja, David Warne, and Mitchell Marsh all contributed 42, 38, and 41 points, respectively.
Aamer Jamal shone with the ball for Pakistan, taking three wickets, while Shaheen Afridi, Mir Hamza, and Hasan Ali each took one.
Pakistan were bowled out for 264 in 73.5 overs in response. Abdullah Shafique and captain Shan Masood each scored 62 (109) and 54 (76).
