DP World Tour: Adrian Meronk turned out as the first Polish winner with an Irish Open win
DP World Tour: Adrian Meronk turned out as the first Polish winner with an Irish Open win. Adrian Meronk is marked to be the first winner from Poland. He won the DP World Tour on Sunday with an amazing close of 6-under 66. He secured the victory in the Irish Open with a three-shot game close.
Meronk was too able to open the door after getting close most of the time. He seems quite relieved with the dream win in the game. He has been one shot lagging from Ryan Fox (New Zealand). He passed the remaining four holes in competitive games and later celebrated the win with a glass of champagne.
Horizon Irish Open: Full-field scores
Ryan Fox ended the game with a 64 and was worrying about the final hole in the end. Meronk played a spectacular game while gaining the upper hand on the closing stretch. The remaining three spots will be gone to Fabrizio Zanott, David Law, and John Catlin.
Meronk had played earlier at the college golf of East Tennessee State. He will be the very first Polish player to take part in the Open Championship at St. Andrews. He was already involved as the first pole last year in the U.S. Open games. Other than that, Meronk has been the very first player to get a DP World Tour card.
Now, being the first winner, he can be counted as the best of all. He had played two shots in Catalunya and Qatar this year. He even missed the Dutch Open playoff by a single shot.
Meronk Showed Spectacular Game Innings
He ensured to not take the game too far in Ireland. Starting with the 25-foot birdie foot to the 15th hole to tie Fox for the lead, he has been a strong finisher. He hit from the left rough on the 16th to 18 feet wedge gap for the birdies. Overall, he was taking ahead the lead to become the first winner of all.
The clincher left an uphill putt from 25 feet with the advantage for eagle and other three-shots heads up. He came at the par-5 17th keeping the second shot a bit short of the green. He felt too happy and satisfied as was able to hit the green on 18.
Adrian even finished the strong with 7-iron to middle green and two putts for par. He celebrated the greatest moment by raising a toast and spraying champagne all around the gallery.
