Doncaster Rovers set out to rebuild after a disastrous campaign that ended in relegation to League Two last year. They made a good start to life back in England’s fourth tier before going five games without a win, dropping into the bottom half with 22 points from their first 16 games.
The Yorkshire outfit would then end that run with a first triumph under the new administration of Danny Schofield as they beat Gillingham 1-0, with Harrison Biggins raising a ruckus around town objective of the challenge, prior to exiting the FA Cup in their following trip because of a disheartening loss because of 6th level Rulers Lynn Town.
Prediction
Doncaster Rovers and Walsall draw a match.
However, Friday will be a difficult test away against a team vying for playoff positions, and we do not quite see Walsall getting all three points. Walsall will travel with lots of confidence.
We do, however, expect the Saddlers to continue their winning streak and think a tie is the most likely result.

The most recent FA Cup match Walsall played at home was a 2-1 victory against Carlisle. The goal scorers at Poundland Bescot Stadium were Andrew Williams and Douglas James-Taylor.
When Doncaster Rovers and Walsall last played one another, Doncaster Rovers won 4-3 at Banks’s Stadium.
There were no draws in the last two games. Walsall has not triumphed, while Doncaster Rovers have won twice.

Betting tips
In four of Walsall’s last five League Two games, there were fewer than 2.5 goals. Going forward, it will be very challenging to maintain this, but Doncaster has recently had offensive struggles. Under 2.5 goals are a strong favourite for this game.
