DISC Sports & Spine Center Breaks Ground on Next-Level
DISC Sports & Spine Center Breaks Ground on Next-Level: Current Royal Navy When it opens in early 2023, the surgical facility will have a secure, contemporary aesthetic and an improved patient experience.
NEWPORT BEACH, California, August 11, 2022 — By announcing plans for a new Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) in the Los Angeles Royal Navy, where work has already started, DISC Sports & Spine Center (“DISC”) is continuing to grow its market share in the Los Angeles area. The new ASC, which is situated next to DISC’s current Musculoskeletal Clinic in Steelwave’s Marina Park (see map), brings together the most recent developments in minimally invasive technology and medical infrastructure with a top-tier surgical team to improve patient experience in a secure, contemporary setting. The statement announced today by Dr. Robert S. Bray, Jr., founding director and a pioneer in neurospine surgery, continues a history that was established 16 years ago when DISC launched its first ASC in the royal navy. Since then, DISC has employed outcome-based information to open a premier Newport Beach ASC in 2011 and is now returning to LA with its most cutting-edge facility, which can handle an anticipated workload of 1,000 complicated spine patients annually.
Dr. Bray stated, “Whether the situations are simple or complicated, throughout the past 16 years, we have been passionately devoted to continually analysing, learning, inventing, and enhancing every component of the patient experience.” All of this has led to the development of our new facility, an ASC that upholds DISC’s outstanding standards while building a framework for high-acute ambulatory spine care in the United States.
The 11,000 square foot ASC at DISC will have four private patient rooms, a PACU station, and two cutting-edge operating rooms with Zeiss microscopes (including a luxury suite). In addition, the ASC will have a comfortable family lounge, a private consultation room, and a contemporary waiting area. The new DISC administrative facility will be around 2,200 square feet and include conference rooms for classroom use, collaborative workplaces, and live surgical streams that have been digitally connected.
The linked architectural company is Taylor Design, and Cannon Building is in charge of the building work.
In order to create the ASC of the future, we designed in accordance with the guidelines established by DISC’s Newport Beach Center royal navy, according to Johannes Gresko, Director of Taylor Design | regional director, Southern California. “To simplify treatment and provide a more premium, elegant experience than a clinical hospital, we restructured the patient and doctor flow. This is a tremendous advance in design and quality for a facility providing specialised services, with no expense spent in regards to patient monitoring or OR capability.
The Marina del Rey ASC for DISC is anticipated to launch in early 2023.
