On the third day of the current Test match between India and England in Rajkot, captain Rohit Sharma left his mark on the squad, leaving former England opener Nick Knight quite impressed.
With 207/2 on the board at the beginning of play on Day 3, the visitors were well in the lead. Thanks to some astute field placements and bowling adjustments by Rohit Sharma, they were swept out for 319 after losing their final eight wickets for only 95 runs.

During the mid-innings break, Nick Knight was all praise for both the Indian bowling attack and captain Rohit on the broadcast:
“We discussed the operation of Baseball. We are now going to discuss how it occasionally doesn’t function. It wasn’t truly Bazball, in my opinion. To be honest, I believe India’s bowling attack deserves a lot of respect; they had an excellent day. I felt that Sharma did a great job leading the side. We discussed Siraj’s heart, and we saw enough of it in him.”
Due to a family medical issue, Ravichandran Ashwin had to withdraw from the third Test, leaving the hosts without his services on Day 3. With statistics of 4/84, Mohammed Siraj emerged as the standout bowler of the group.
According to Nick Knight, the opponents gained momentum and started to dominate the game as soon as Joe Root was substituted. At that point in the game, Knight thought that Root may have avoided getting caught in the slip cordon while attempting to play a reverse sweep.
Nick Knight asserted that England was still in the game, citing their history of chasing large totals during the Baseball era.
