Illustrious Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have roped in a previous Chennai Super Lords (CSK) star as the swap of David Willey until the end of the Indian Chief Association (IPL) on Monday.
Faf Du Plessis’ RCB side will clash with KL Rahul’s LSG in match No.43 of the IPL 2023 at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Arena.
In preparation for their match with the heavyweights of Lucknow, Du Plessis, and co. have successfully signed India batter Kedar Jadhav to replace Willey. Willey only appeared in four games for RCB and took three wickets.
The former Chennai Super Kings all-rounder has joined RCB for INR 1 crore, according to an IPL media advisory.
Willey had supplanted Jadhav at Chennai Super Lords in the 2018 time of IPL. Jadhav was precluded because of a physical issue at that point. While playing for RCB in the IPL 2023, Willey injured his toe.
In the 2022 and 2023 editions of the IPL auction, Indian batter Jadhav, Willey’s replacement at RCB for the 2023 season, was not sold. Jadhav has also played for RCB in 17 IPL matches.
In 2010, the Indian all-rounder made his IPL debut. In the richest T20 tournament in the world, the RCB star has appeared in 93 games. In the IPL, the Indian all-rounder has scored 1196 runs.
Monday’s 43rd IPL 2023 match will pit Lucknow Super Giants against Royal Challengers Bangalore. A significant update regarding the RCB team has surfaced prior to the game. Kedar Jadhav will take the place of England’s star all-rounder David Willey for the remainder of the season.
RCB has purchased Jadhav for Rs 1 crore. He has scored 1196 runs in 93 IPL games thus far. Jadhav was acquired by Chennai Super Kings after playing 17 games for RCB in the 2016-17 season.
Jadhav played for Sunrisers Hyderabad in the tournament in 2021. For the subsequent two seasons, he remained unsold in auctions.
