On Tuesday when Australia’s veteran opener David Warner scored a century in his 100th Test match against South Africa to end a near-three-year streak and return to his best at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
Veteran opener David Warner returned to his best at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Tuesday, scoring a century in his 100th Test match against South Africa, snapping a streak that had lasted nearly three years.
The 36-year-old, who came into the game under pressure after a lean run, passed 8,000 Test runs on his way to three figures, making him the eighth Australian to do so. It was his most memorable Test century since January 2020 as he discredited the skeptics with a forceful 144-ball thump, hitting eight fours, on day two of the subsequent Test.
He raised his 25th hundred years with a limit, punching the air in the festival.
The Twitter community reacted to Warner’s century as follows:
Before the match, Warner insisted, “You’re never out of form.”
He stated, “They are not the words that I use, and they certainly are not used in our change rooms.” It’s all about missing runs.
