Danish Kaneria requests that MI rest Jasprit Bumrah in the IPL 2024 –“Mumbai Indians need to understand that”
Kaneria believes the Mumbai Indians (MI) should consider resting Bumrah for a few matches during the forthcoming season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 to avoid further injury.
Danish Kaneria feels that with the T20 World Cup approaching, India should limit pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah’s workload in the coming months.

Jasprit Bumrah returned to action in August of last year after a lengthy injury layoff. Due to a back issue, the speedster was forced to sit out. He also missed the T20 World Cup in 2022 due to the same reason.
Since his comeback to international cricket, the 30-year-old has been in excellent form.
He made an impression with the ball during the 2023 ODI World Cup and the recently finished two-match away Test series against South Africa.

Jasprit Bumrah was a major architect in India’s seven-wicket victory against hosts South Africa in the recent Cape Town Test.
Bumrah took six wickets in South Africa’s second innings, assisting the Men in Blue in dismissing the opposition for 153.
India won their first Test at the site after chasing down the 79-run mark with seven wickets in hand.
Bumrah was named Player of the Series, along with Dean Elgar. He ended the series as the series’ highest wicket-taker, with 12 wickets from three innings.
