Twitter users were taken aback when Virender Sehwag posted a picture of India’s scorecard from a 2006 Test match against Pakistan.
He then asked everyone to “point out” the answer to an “interesting” question, causing further confusion.
The Test match in Lahore ended in a high-scoring draw, with rain limiting the final to 14 balls as the curtain fell on a record-setting match.
India reached 410 for one in 77.2 overs with opener Sehwag scoring 254 off 247 balls and Rahul Dravid remaining unbeaten with 128 off 233 balls.
After scoring 679 for seven in 143.3 overs with Younis Khan, Mohammad Yousuf, Shahid Afridi, and Kamran Akmal scoring tons, Pakistan declared.
Yousuf managed 173 out of 199 deliveries, while Younis recorded 199 out of 336 balls.
Afridi, on the other hand, smashed 103 off 81 balls and Akmal, still unbeaten, smashed 102 off 80 balls.
Sehwag posed the question
Sehwag posed the question to fans by posting a picture of India’s batting order and writing,
“Forget the scorecard, one very interesting thing about this Indian 11.Can you specify?”
Sehwag and Dravid started the batting,
Followed by VVS Laxman, Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly, Yuvraj Singh, MS Dhoni, Irfan Pathan, Ajit Agarkar, Anil Kumble, and Harbhajan Singh.
Sehwag and Dravid were the openers.
One fan responded, “Just one spinner in Harbhajan,” in response to the inquiry.
“Haha, nahi yaar.. Anil Bhai gussa karenge… India’s greatest match winner in Test cricket,” said Sehwag in response.
In the interim, another fan said, “Singh is composed in an unexpected way”, to which Sehwag said, “Haan yaar, yeh toh socha greetings nahin”.
The three-game series began with the Test match in January 2006.
Shoaib Akhtar was the main Pakistan bowler whose economy was under three in the apparatus.
Meanwhile, India’s most successful bowlers were Anil Kumble and Ajit Agarkar, who each took two wickets.
Virender Sehwag, a former batter, predicted that the sport will continue to play Tests and ODIs, not T20s alone.
Due to a lack of viewers, there have been calls to end the 50-over format over the past few months.
There weren’t a lot of people in attendance at the venues for the most recent ODI series between England and Australia, which followed the T20 World Cup 2022.
Nawab of Najafgarh
The Nawab of Najafgarh, on the other hand, was of the opinion that the ODIs and Tests will continue to be significant events on the cricket calendar of the ICC.
Sehwag, who is 44 years old.
Stated that players have become financially secure as a result of the emergence of various T20 leagues around the world.
During his peak, Sehwag participated in a lot of franchise cricket.
Before joining the Kings XI Punjab, now known as the Punjab Kings, he worked as a player for the Delhi Daredevils, which are now known as the Capitals.
Numerous championships, including the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), Pakistan Super League (PSL), and Big Bash League (BBL), are scheduled to take place in the upcoming months.
