Indian Men’s one day international captain: In 1974, Ajit Wadekar led the Indian team in their inaugural ODI. There have been 25 different Indian team captains overall since that time. The Indian ODI squad has had a total of 25 individuals skipper them. Ajit Wadekar led the Indian cricket team in the first-ever ODI. In 1974, he participated in just two games while leading the ODI team. India, sadly, lost both of them.
Virat Kohli and Mahendra Singh Dhoni are two of the most successful Indian captains. After Virat resigned from the position, Rohit Sharma has been named India’s new ODI captain and will probably also serve as the team’s Test captain.
