The disparity in compensation that exists between the two leagues is well-known. As the IPL 2022 Auction has progressed, this disparity has become even more glaring.
The HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) began in 2016 in contrast to the Indian Premier League (IPL). Which began eight years prior to Pakistan’s largest domestic cricket event.
During the seven years that the HBL PSL was in existence, opportunities for emerging young players. From all over the world showcasing their skills and achieving international fame were made available.
Names like Shadab Khan, Hasan Ali, Asif Ali, Liam Livingstone, Dawid Malan, Sam Billings, Phil Salt, and a lot of others came to attention as a result of their participation in the league.
In contrast, the Indian Premier League is a more established franchise competition with the financial means to pay top-tier players from around the world a lot of money.
Pat Cummins, David Warner, Kagiso Rabada, Kane Williamson, Quinton de Kock, and Glenn Maxwell are among the league’s well-known players.
It is no secret how much the two organizations’ compensation sizes differ. But looking at the IPL 2022 Closeout, it has become even more obvious. To give you an illustration, the Multan Sultans’ Tim David was acquired by the Mumbai Indians for $1.1 million in the IPL after receiving $130,000 in the PSL.

Due to the double round-robin system, players will play more games in the IPL in 2022. Despite having ten teams as compared to the HBL PSL’s six teams, who play fewer games than the IPL.
The PSL offers its participants the following pay categories:
Platinum costs between $130,000 and $170,000.
Diamond costs between $75,000 to $85,000.
Gold costs between $40,000 and $50,000.
Silver costs between $15,000 and 25,000.
The price of the emerging is $5,000–7,500. Ramiz Raja, the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), and the owners of the six franchises talked about the idea of using an auction mechanism before the start of PSL 7 in order to increase the pay scale and attract more fans.
