Commonwealth Games 2022 – The main focus of Pakistan. The captain of Pakistan’s Women’s Cricket team, Misbah Maroof revealed the strategy of her team for the Commonwealth Games 2022. She insisted on the fact that her team was completely prepared and in the right form to defeat all the big teams and bring home victory.
“We have a good team combination with youngsters like Tuba Hassan, Ayesha Naseem, and Fatima Sana providing real energy, skill, and talent, they are the ones for the future and this tour is a real opportunity for them to make a big impression.”
Pakistan is placed in Pool A. the team is going to share its pool with the T20 World Cup Winner Australia, India, and Barbados.
Pakistan will face its first opponent, Barbados on the 29th of July 2022. The venue for this match is set at Edgbaston in Birmingham.
The next match will be against India. The 31st of July 2022 will see a fiery contest between India and Pakistan at Edgbaston in Birmingham.
The 3rd of August 2022 brings in the day when Pakistan is all set to face Australia. The venue of the match is Edgbaston in Birmingham.

Before initiating the Commonwealth Games, Pakistan will participate in the Tri-series. Pakistan’s first match is against Australia on the 16th of July 2022 in Belfast. The host nation is Ireland.
“The tri-series in Ireland provides us a good opportunity of acclimatizing to the conditions ahead of the Commonwealth Games,” Bismah stated.
Pakistan is set to leave for Dubai for the Tri-Series on the 12th of July 2022 after vigorous yet difficult training in Rawalpindi and Islamabad at the Pindi Cricket Stadium and House of Northern Cricket Ground.
Recent rains in Rawalpindi and Islamabad made the practice sessions challenging and troublesome as the team was forced to move the practice indoors to avoid the challenges of the uncertain and unpredictable weather.
“Our preparations have suffered a bit due to the persistent rains as we could not play practice matches, we had to hence shift our focus to fitness more. We tried to make most of the indoor facility we were provided and that did come as a good help to the side amid the weather challenges. The tri-series in Ireland provides us a good opportunity to acclimatize to the conditions ahead of the Commonwealth Games,” said Bismah.
