The Commonwealth Games 2022 are going on here in Birmingham, England from 28 July to 8 August. All commonwealth countries are ready to take part in the current edition of CWG. Indians players are also ready to celebrate this year’s Independence Day on the soil of Britain.
The Indian Women’s cricket team is all set to play their opening match against World Champion Australia in the Commonwealth Games 2022. Cricket is going back in the CWG. The women’s cricket is going to participate first time in the event.

In the Commonwealth Games 2022, 8 cricket teams are participating, which are placed in two groups. The Indian team is present in pool A. Here along with the Indian team, the team of current world champion Australia, arch-rival Pakistan, and Barbados is present.

Indian young all-rounder Pooja Vastrakar is unable to play in today’s match due to being Covid-19 positive. Pooja has been in very good form recently and is the only fast bowling all-rounder in the Indian team.
