In their championship game on Sunday, April 2, Louisiana State University defeated the Iowa Hawkeyes 102-85 at the American Airlines Center.

Following LSU’s victory, Coco Gauff took to social media to express her joy. She accompanied a video of the Louisiana team’s triumphant victory with four fire emojis on her post. She also shared a picture of Angel Reese taunting Clark, similar to John Cena’s famous “You Can’t See Me” gesture.
“I’m more red hot, Jessica Pegula is more cool” – Coco Gauff
Coco Gauff and Jessica Pegula’s recent success in the women’s doubles competition at the 2023 Miami Open can be attributed in large part to their on-court relationship and compatibility of mentality. Despite the fact that Gauff has revealed significant differences in the personalities of the two, their winning mentality complements one another.
On Sunday, April 2, Gauff and Pegula competed against Taylor Townsend and Leylah Fernandez in the women’s doubles final at the 2023 Miami Open. The Americans protected the initial set with a 14-point tie-break and afterward continued to rule the subsequent set, at last accomplishing a 7-6(6), 6-2 triumph.
The American duo was overjoyed when they won their second doubles title of the season, and the fact that they did so in front of their own fans made the victory even more special. During the post-match question and answer session, Gauff offered her thanks for the help of their families and the amount it intended to them to win in their presence.
In a close matchup with Fernandez and Townsend, Gauff and Pegula win the Miami Doubles Championship.
After successfully defending their title in February at Doha, Gauff and Pegula have already won two championships this year. The latest one is in Miami.
Gauff and Pegula battled through a tense first set in which both teams traded holds for the first ten games of the match. They were playing the unseeded, all-lefty duo of Fernandez and Townsend for the first time.
After securing the first break of the match with a fierce forehand return down the line to lead 6-5, Townsend went up to the service line to serve out the set.
Gauff and Pegula, who are both persistent, were offered two opportunities to reprieve at 6-5, 30-40. Forcing a tiebreak and preventing a set point, Gauff aggressively closed the break back.
The Canadian’s flawless return tied the tiebreak at six all with the help of Fernandez and Townsend, who were in charge of saving a set point this time. Fernandez, nonetheless, missed a forehand drive volley on set point for the Americans, surrendering the set.
