Chelsea- Gearing Up for their pre-season match to be played in Italy! Thomas Tuchel, along with his squad, after returning from Chelsea’s summer tour from the USA, will be seen pre-making season preparations by playing a match away and that too at Italian team Udinese.
Thomas Tuchel is one of the finest managers of German professional football. He is also a former player and currently the head coach, for the Premier League club Chelsea. Tuchel is known to be one of the best managers globally because of his unique style of management in addition to his tactical knowledge.
The Blues already announced in the US to play against Charlotte FC, Club America, and Arsenal. The tickets are already up for sale. Blues will resume their on-field action way back in Europe. Chelsa will take up the Serie A side ahead of the beginning of the 2022/23 campaign.
The match that will get played against Udinese and, is scheduled for Friday 29 July. It will start with a kick-off at 8 pm UK time (It is 9 pm local time), at the 25,000-seater Dacia Arena home. Dacia Arena earlier hosted 3 matches for the 1990 World Cup. At that time, its name was Stadio Friuli. At present, it is considered one of the highly modernized and environmentally friendly stadiums located in Italy.
Chelsa earlier played against Udinese for a pre-season match there in August 2001. It ended with 1-1 as the final score as the Blues goal delivered the Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink header-right from the Gianfranco Zola cross. Well, Hasselbaink was returned off, along with other players of the home team.
Udinese is also popular as the Zebrette – or little zebras. They got this name because of their shirts with black and white-stripe. The team is provided with top-notch European opposition because Chelsea is busy continuing the pre-season preparations. They have ever been -present in Serie A since 1995, and the last term finished 12th.
