Carlo Ancelotti – The Real Madrid Manager biography
Carlo Ancelotti is an Italian professional football manager and former player who was born on June 10, 1959. He is in charge of the management of La Liga club Real Madrid. Ancelotti is the most successful coach in the history of the UEFA Champions League. Moreover, he is the only coach to win the trophy a record four times. He is also the only person who has ever been the manager of a team in five Champions League finals. Furthermore, as the coach of Milan and Real Madrid, he won the FIFA Club World Cup twice and the UEFA Super Cup three times.
Carlo Ancelotti’s Career
Carlo Ancelotti started his career as a midfielder with the Italian team Parma. In 1979, he helped the team move up from Serie B to Serie A. The next season, he moved to Roma, where he won a Serie A title and four Coppa Italia titles. In the late 1980s, he also played for the Milan team. Before becoming famous with Milan, Ancelotti was a manager for Reggiana, Parma, and Juventus from 1995 to 2001. After the 2008–09 season, he told Milan he was leaving. He was Milan’s longest-serving manager in a single stint.
In 2009, Chelsea hired Ancelotti as their manager, and in his first season, the team won both the Premier League and the FA Cup. In 2011, he became the manager of Paris Saint-Germain, a French soccer team. Finally, Ancelotti was hired as the manager of Real Madrid after he did well in France. In his first season, he led Real Madrid to their tenth Champions League title, which had been a dream for a long time.
Dismissal and Comeback
In May 2015, Ancelotti was dismissed from his job at Real Madrid. In 2016, he became the manager of Bayern Munich. In his first season, he helped win the Bundesliga title. Between 2018 and 2021, he was the manager of Napoli and Everton. In the summer of 2021, he went back to Real Madrid and won a La Liga–Champions League double.
On the Field
Ancelotti was a world-class player who was known for his leadership, skill, calmness with the ball, and ability to organize. He is considered one of the best Italian midfielders of his generation. He was a versatile midfielder who could play in different positions. When he was with Milan and Arrigo Sacchi, he was usually used as a playmaker in the middle of the field. When he was with Roma, he often played on the wings and could also play as an attacking midfielder.
