Domination Of Kenya In The Competition

The event of 2022 remained in the name of Kenya’s runners. Kenya’s players emerged winners in both men’s and women’s tournaments. Tokyo Olympic champion Perez Jepchirchir won in the women’s category. This is his third major title in 8 months. After winning gold at the Olympics in August last year, he also won the New York City Marathon in November.

In the men’s category, Kenyan runners finished on the podium. Evans Chebet won the gold. Evans, 33, won a major marathon for the first time. He took 2 hours 6 minutes 51 seconds. Laurance Cherono got ranked 2nd. And the champion of last year, Bansan Criphuto got 3rd place.
