Before Arsenal’s match against Sporting CP in the UEFA Europa League, Gabriel Jesus has resumed his recovery by participating in team training. With a thrilling victory over AFC Bournemouth over the weekend, Mikel Arteta’s team maintained their five-point lead over Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table.
They miraculously came back from two goals down to win the game 3-2 in overtime. Arsenal’s focus has now shifted to their Europa League Round of 16 matchup with Sporting. On Thursday, March 9, they will play the Primeira Liga team in Lisbon for the first leg of the match.

Jesus’ services were purchased by Arsenal from Manchester City for approximately £45 million last summer. He scored five goals and had six assists in 14 league games during the first half of the season, quickly becoming a key player for them.
However, during the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, the international player for Brazil sustained a serious knee injury. He has missed 14 games across all competitions for Arsenal and has not played.
Jesus, on the other hand, was seen participating in training alongside the rest of his teammates, giving the impression that he is getting closer to returning to full fitness. When he will be able to play again for the Premier League’s top teams is unknown.
The London club will greatly benefit from the 25-year-old’s return as they approach the season’s final stretch. In addition to attempting to win the Europa League, they are determined to maintain their position at the top of the league standings.

Jesus is back training with the rest of the team, which will please Arteta, but the Spaniard has also suffered a few setbacks. According to Watts, Eddie Nketiah, Kieran Tierney, and Leandro Trossard were not present at Arsenal’s team training on Wednesday.
Nketiah suffered a knock and was unable to participate in Arsenal’s victory over Bournemouth last weekend. In the meantime, Trossard, who joined the team in January from Brighton & Hove Albion, was substituted out during the game’s first half.
