The junior players of Bangladesh’s men’s team did not miss out on the chance to learn from the touring stars, but the senior men’s team is getting valuable experience playing with a good team like India. Currently, Team India is touring Bangladesh. The visitors hold a 1-0 lead in the two-match Test series after losing the ODI series 1-2.
At the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur, the second match is currently in progress. While the senior men’s group of Bangladesh is getting some great experience of playing with a quality group like India, the lesser players of the side also didn’t pass up the chance of gaining from the visiting stars.
On Wednesday, the Bangladesh under-19 team’s players had the opportunity to meet and talk to India batsman Virat Kohli, wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant, and spinner Kuldeep Yadav. Pictures of the interaction were later made public by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). In the ongoing Test series against Bangladesh, Virat Kohli has yet to score a significant run.
He entered the longest format after scoring a century in the final One-Day International. Kohli had become the only second batter to score 72 international centuries with a hundred, surpassing Ricky Ponting. Sachin Tendulkar, a legend in India, holds the record for most international tons with 100.
Regarding Rishabh Pant, the southpaw hit a 45-ball 46 in the first innings of the first Test against Bangladesh. But he was not allowed to bat in the second. In contrast, Kuldeep Yadav had finished the first game with figures of 8 for 113, including a five-for in the first innings. He was dropped, however, for the second Test in Mirpur.
