Jemimah last appeared in a game for India Women while they were touring Bangladesh. In three ODIs, she scored 139 runs, at an average of 86. She also brought four wickets back with her.
The cricketer from Mumbai, however, struggled in the T20I series, scoring 8, 28, and 10 runs, respectively. She had earlier helped Delhi Capitals get to the Women’s Premier League championship by scoring 126 runs in nine games.
One of the few Indian cricketers to have competed in both The Hundred and Big Bash League is Jemimah. In the previous season of The Hundred, she only participated in two games, scoring 51 and two runs, respectively. With three victories in six games during the eight-team competition, her squad came in fifth place.
Along with Jemimah, the London Spirit’s injured Georgia Redmayne has been replaced by wicketkeeper-bat Richa Ghosh.
Harmanpreet Kaur, the vice-captain of India, and Smriti Mandhana will represent Trent Rocket and Southern Brave, respectively. On August 1, the pair will square off in Nottingham’s inaugural match.
