Faf du Plessis, captain of Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), has joined the team ahead of the 2023 Indian Premier League (IPL) season. The right-handed batter last played in the inaugural SA20, leading the Joburg Super Kings to the semifinals.

The illustrious Chinnaswamy Stadium will host an IPL match after four long years on April 2, when the three-time finalists will face the Mumbai Indians (MI).
Prior to that, the franchise will pay tribute to Chris Gayle and AB de Villiers, two of its greatest players, at the RCB Unbox Event on March 26. It will also be the first time the entire squad will be together, with players slowly moving in after finishing their international assignments.
After the women’s team failed to advance to the playoffs of the inaugural Women’s Premier League (WPL), RCB will be hoping for a significantly stronger performance from their men’s team.
Before IPL 2023, Sanju Samson joins the RR team.
In addition to the RCB skipper, Sanju Samson, the captain of the Rajasthan Royals (RR), has announced his arrival ahead of the highly anticipated tournament.
In the previous edition of the competition, Samson led RR to the finals, where they lost to Hardik Pandya’s Gujarat Titans (GT). Although Prasidh Krishna’s absence is anticipated to have a significant impact on Rajasthan’s fate, the team has undergone a few minor adjustments.
On April 2, RR will begin their campaign against the revamped Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH).
Samson and Co. will play their home games at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur, but the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati will host two of their home games.
