Be Legendary: Jasprit Bumrah shares a picture with Harshal Patel as the duo starts rehab to get fit for T20 WC 2022. India is going to be without Jasprit Bumrah and Harshal Patel in the upcoming Asia Cup 2022. The two seamers were ruled out of the competition due to their respective injuries.
Jasprit Bumrah and Harshal Patel are at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru undergoing rehabilitation. The two are trying to regain full fitness ahead of the all-important T20 World Cup. The T20 World Cup 2022 is slated to begin in October later this year.
Bumrah took to Instagram on Wednesday, August 17, and shared a picture with Patel.
Bumrah captioned the post:
“The writing on the wall says it all.”
Bumrah has been ruled out due to a back injury, while Harshal Patel is ruled out due to a rib injury. The team management wants the two bowlers to return to action as soon as possible. The two players form an important part of India’s T20I setup.
Rohit Sharma will be leading the Men in Blue in the upcoming Asia Cup 2022. The continental tournament will be played by the teams in the UAE from August 27.
The Indian side will be taking on arch-rivals Pakistan in their first fixture of the tournament on August 28 in Dubai. The final of the tournament is scheduled for the 11th of September 2022 and will be played in Dubai.
Senior batsmen like Virat Kohli and KL Rahul have returned to India’s T20I squad for the competition. Players like Shreyas Iyer, Deepak Chahar, and Axar Patel have been enlisted as stand-by players.

ICC T20 World Cup 2022 Schedule
ICC T20 World Cup 2022 will be starting on the 16th of October 2022. The final is scheduled for November 13. In the first game of the tournament, Sri Lanka will be facing Namibia at Kardinia Park, Geelong on Sunday 16 October. The Super 12 phase will be starting on October 22.
