BCCI sold its title sponsor rights to Mastercard: The Board of Control for Cricket in India announced its new title sponsor on Monday. Mastercard acquired its title sponsor rights for all International and domestic cricket matches to be scheduled in India.
Paytm sponsor backed out from the deal earlier this year. Now, Mastercard is all set to replace them for the 2022-23 season.
The BCCI in an official statement said ” Master Card will be the title sponsor for all international matches held on home ground, domestic matches live Ranji Trophy, Irani Trophy, Duleep Trophy.”
Mastercard is now the title sponsor for both men’s and women’s matches and U-19, and U-25 matches.
Master Card is sponsoring worldwide prestigious events. Moreover, they sponsor reputed events like Grammys, Cannes Film Festival, UEFA Champions League, French Open, and Australian Open.

About the deal, he said ” BCCI welcomes Mastercard as title sponsor for home cricket matches. Along with International matches at home grounds. BCCI domestic tournaments are also crucial as they are the building blocks of making India a strong International side.”

BCCI president Jay Shah also said about the deal ” BCCI is happy to associate with a global brand – Mastercard. We are in for experiencing an exciting time in Indian cricket. “
“As we have South Africa and Australia coming over for the white ball series before the World Cup. We have Sri Lanka, New Zealand, and the Gavaskar Trophy next year.”
