Bayern Munich has identified Real Madrid as a possible successor for Thomas Tuchel
Munich are looking for club great Xabi Alonso to take over from current manager Thomas Tuchel after the season, according to Relevo writer Jorge Picón.
Tuchel, who has only been with the club for eleven months, has yet to persuade.
Xabi Alonso, who was also associated with Real Madrid, is now the prime managerial target for Bayern Munich’s board.
Which has a long history of secretly acquiring the greatest players and managers from its Bundesliga competitors.
Alonso, who is in his first season as a full-time top-flight coach, has been in high demand after leading his Bayer Leverkusen team to a historic first-place finish in the Bundesliga with nearly half the season remaining.

He has managed to keep his great players like Florian Wirtz and Jeremie Frimpong in peak form while also bringing in top-tier acquisitions like Alejandro Grimaldo and Victor Boniface.
His acquisitions have taken the league by storm and have been linked with big-money deals to Europe’s best teams.
Carlo Ancelotti’s contract with Real Madrid, which was supposed to expire at the conclusion of the 2023-24 season, was recently extended by two years until 2026.
They were heavily rumored to be interested in Alonso’s services. But opted to extend Ancelotti and therefore dropped out of contention.
Bayern Munich is set to take advantage of this and try to sign Alonso to replace Tuchel. Who has struggled to win trophies since taking over Bayern Munich.
Which has been a pre-requisite for job security at the club, as seen in the past with Julian Nagelsmann. And Niko Kovac being sacked for poor performances, despite Bayern winning the Bundesliga every season since 2012.
In January, Bayern Munich hopes to add defensive reinforcements
Bayern Munich have already signed Bryan Zaragoza from Granada and highly regarded Aussie wonderkid Nestory Irankunda for next season. But they are aiming to enhance their present roster in the January transfer window.
They plan to compete in the Champions League and defend their Bundesliga title, and they require squad depth.
According to reports, Bayern has a verbal agreement with Tottenham defender Eric Dier. And has also been connected with Fulham duo Tosin Adarabioyo and Joao Palhinha.
