The salary cap for women cricketers under a central contract with the BCB will now reportedly be Tk1,00,000, with the minimum set at Tk50,000. The previous salary range was Tk80,000, with a minimum of Tk25,000. Currently, 25 women cricketers are contracted with BCB. The match fee for women cricketers of the “A” team has been increased to Taka 1,50,000.
The BCB boss also revealed that the board decided to strengthen its cricket infrastructure as they aim to build new stadiums to accommodate the domestic leagues.
In an effort to decentralize, the BCB has approved five ad-hoc regional committees – Dhaka, Sylhet, Chittagong, Rangpur, and Rajshahi – after Monday’s meeting.
The Board Chairman also informed that committees for Khulna and Barisal will be added soon.
