Baltej Singh
In the first three rounds of the red-ball season, Baltej was only able to capture a total of seven wickets, which is evidence that he started off to an average start. Baltej emerged as one of the top seamers in the competition despite the fact that Punjab was eliminated from the 2021-22 Ranji Trophy season by Madhya Pradesh in the quarterfinals. He did this by taking 18 wickets in a total of only four matches played, making him one of the top seamers in the competition. Because of this, Baltej was able to move up to the first spot on the list of the competition’s best seamers. In addition, in September of 2022, Baltej was chosen to participate in the Duleep Trophy event that was hosted in the North Zone as a member of the reserve team that was assembled for the competition.
Baltej has made his debut for Punjab in the First Class league back in 2011
since then he has gone on to collect 69 wickets for the side while playing a total of 39 innings for them.At the mega-auction that took place the year before the start of the Indian Premier League 2022, the amount of twenty million rupees (Rs. 20 lakh) was paid in order for Baltej to be purchased by the Punjab Kings, the team that plays in his birthplace. In spite of the fact that Baltej has not yet made his debut in the Indian Premier League, the franchise has decided to keep him beyond the retention deadline day for the IPL 2023 season,
Which will take place in November 2022. With seven points, Punjab is now in fourth position in the rankings for Elite Group D this season, while Gujarat is in second place with fourteen points.
