Badminton Asia Championships 2024 started on April 09, 2024, and had a total prize of US$450,000.
The 2024 Badminton Asia Championships are starting on April 9 in Ningbo, China. This is a big tournament for badminton players from all over Asia. They want to do well here to get a better chance to go to the Olympics in Paris. This is the 41st time they’re having this tournament, and Badminton Asia is organizing it.
Last year, the tournament was in Dubai. Anthony Sinisuka Ginting from Indonesia won the men’s singles, and Tai Tzu-Ying from Taiwan won the women’s singles. India’s Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty won the men’s doubles.
This time, India’s top players are also playing. HS Prannoy will play against Lu Guangzhou from China in the first round. Kidambi Srikanth will play against Anthony Ginting.
But Satwik and Chirag won’t be playing this time. Satwik got hurt, so they had to withdraw. Now people are looking at Lakshya Sen and PV Sindhu to do well.
China clinched its third title in the Badminton Asia Championships 2024 with Feng Yan Zhe/Huang Dong Ping prevailing over former world champions Seo Seung Jae/Chae Yu Jung 13-21, 21-15, 21-14 in today’s final in Ningbo. #BadmintonAsiaChampionships2024 #BadmintonAsia pic.twitter.com/ju5sVW2H9C
