Babar Azam surpasses Virat Kohli : Pakistan Cricket team is currently touring Sri Lanka for a Test series. On day 2 of the first test match in the series, the Pakistani skipper reached the 10,000 run milestone. He achieved this milestone in just 228 innings and was certainly on the way to becoming the greatest international cricketer for his country.
Babar Azam is the fifth fastest cricketer to reach this milestone. He became the fastest Asian to reach this milestone surpassing Indian and world star Virat Kohli. He surpassed Virat Kohli in terms of a number of innings. Virat completed his 10,000 runs in 232 innings.
Among the top five Asians, only Indians and Pakistani batters are dominating the list with Sourav Ganguly, Sunil Gavaskar, and Javed Miandad completing milestones in 253, 243, and 248 respectively.
Pakistani Skipper reached a milestone in Sri Lanka test
At Galle International stadium Sri Lanka, 1st test match is taking place. Babar scored an unbeaten 34 off 72 balls to reach 10,000 runs. Viv Richards tops the list to reach the milestone in fastest innings 206.
The skipper had 10013 runs in 228 innings at lunch on day 2. The runs include 24 centuries and 66 half-centuries. Pakistan is counting on Babar to hold the trail and win the match on day 4.
