The second edition of the five-match Twenty20 International series was a thrilling encounter. It turned out to be a high-scoring encounter on a batting-friendly pitch. When given the opportunity to bat, the Australians once again demonstrated their dominance, scoring 187 runs for the loss of only one wicket courtesy to another great performance from Beth Mooney and Tahlia McGrath.
India replied by levelling the Australian total, with to Smriti Mandhana’s superb innings and cameo contributions from Harmanpreet Kaur and Richa Ghosh. India finally won the game by four runs in the Super Over to tie the series at one apiece. Both teams will be pumped up for the third encounter, which will take place on Wednesday at Brabourne Stadium.
