Australian cricket board announced the Australia tour of Sri Lanka in June and July. Currently, Australia is touring Pakistan for 3 tests, 3 ODIs, and 1 T20I. They already completed 3 test match series in which Australia won the series by 1-0. And after the Pakistan tour, Australian players will be busy in IPL. The Sri Lanka tour is just another leg for Australia in their hectic schedule for 2022. Australia will later come to India. Australia Team is going to Sri Lanka first time after 2016. They will play 3 T20Is starting from 7th June at Colombo, after that they have 5 ODIs which will start on 14th June ( the First 2 matches at Kandy and the remaining 3 at Colombo) and at the last 2 test matches from 29 June to 12 July. Australia cricket CEO Nick Hockley on Sri Lanka tour
In an interview, Nick Hockley said ” Australia played some competitive cricket with Sri Lanka earlier this year. And now we are excited to tour Sri Lanka first time after 2016. This will be the terrific white ball and red-ball cricket series”
He further said, ” Subcontinent is a most challenging place to play cricket and this tour offers our players invaluable experience and another great opportunity to excel on the world stage.”
