The Asia Cup 2023 schedule will use the 50-over format as a warm-up for the World Cup later in the year. After much deliberation and modification due to tensions between Pakistan and India on the political front, the Asia Cup schedule has now been made public.
The Asia Cup is scheduled to be held in Pakistan and Sri Lanka, with India’s games taking place there. However, before the Asian Cricket Council decided on the current version, the draft version of the final fixtures list underwent a number of adjustments.
The top two teams from each group advance to the Super Fours. The six teams will initially be split into two groups of three. The Final will then feature the top two teams from the Super Fours.

Group A: Pakistan, India, and Nepal
Group B.: Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and Sri Lanka
Asia Cup 2023 schedule
The Asia Cup will begin on August 30, a day earlier than the original draft of the schedule anticipated. The next nine games will be contested in Sri Lanka in the cities of Kandy and Colombo. While Pakistan will host four games in the cities of Multan and Lahore.
The tournament will kick off with Pakistan taking on Nepal in Multan. And the championship match will take place in Colombo’s R Premadasa International Cricket Stadium.
On September 2, Kandy will host the major group-stage match between India and Pakistan. They will play again at the same location on September 10 if both teams advance to the Super Fours.

If authorized, Pakistan and India will receive ratings of A1 and A2, respectively. If Nepal progresses to the Super Fours above either of them, they will take either A1 or A2.
In Group B, Afghanistan will fill either slot if they go past the first round. Replacing Sri Lanka and Bangladesh as B1 and B2, respectively.
