Ashleigh Barty answers whether there’s a chance of seeing her return to tennis again. Ashleigh Barty has promised that she will not compete in another tennis tournament in the foreseeable future. At the age of 25, Barty stunned the tennis world by announcing her abrupt retirement in March. In 2014, Barty decided to retire from the sport of tennis. After making her comeback to the sport, Barty won three Grand Slam titles and ascended to the top spot on the women’s singles rankings in the world.
According to the Australian, something similar to Barty’s retirement and subsequent comeback to the game will not occur again. Barty has said this to both The Age and Sydney Morning Herald: “There won’t be another time coming back to tennis, I assure you.”
Barty is enjoying her retirement.
“As for me, right now, I’m really enjoying my time away from the court and making the adjustment to this new life, which isn’t really a new life at all; it’s just a different one. According to Barty, “it’s simply a somewhat different perspective from what I do for a living.”
“It’s been everything that I’ve probably ever expected it to be,” she said. It was a change that I probably found quite easy, and that was a reiteration and comfort for me that it was the correct moment [to walk away]” It was a shift that I probably found very easy.
Barty got off to a strong start in the 2022 season by claiming the singles championships at both the Australian Open and the Adelaide International. After beginning the year with a record of 11-0, Barty did not compete in the month of February, and she subsequently withdrew from both Indian Wells and Miami.
It was a bit strange that Barty decided not to compete in Indian Wells and Miami, but nobody was prepared for the news that Barty made in late March. Since he retired, Barty has experienced one significant event in his life. Barty finally tied the knot with her long-time boyfriend Garry Kissick in July.
Barty is content with her life and does not feel remorse over her decision to retire at such a young age. When Barty won Wimbledon the year before, she could fulfil a dream she’d had since she was a child. Barty acknowledged in March that after winning Wimbledon, she had begun to experience a gradual decline in the drive. Barty believed that she had accomplished her objectives and that to continue playing without genuine motivation would be a prescription for failure.
