Kylian Mbappe, a striker for Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), is pleased with Adrien Rabiot’s transformation since the 2022 FIFA World Cup. When Les Blues play the Republic of Ireland today (March 27) in their second UEFA Euro 2024 qualifier, Mbappe and Rabiot will probably play.
During a pre-game press conference, the PSG forward lavished praise on his longtime teammate. Through Football-Italia, he stated: “From the World Cup, he is completely different as a player and as a person.
I was fortunate to meet him a long time ago, but I can still see a composed footballer who is self-assured about his strength and what he is doing. He inspires a lot of confidence in me personally.” This season, Rabiot has performed admirably for both club and country.
He has played for Juve 33 times in different competitions, scoring nine goals and providing four assists in those 33 games. He also got praise for his performance at the World Cup at the end of last year, where France finished as runners-up and he scored and assisted on one goal.
Mbappe continued his evaluation of Rabiot’s development and noted his growing significance to Les Bleus: “You can see that on the pitch that he is doing things well and has become important in this group. He is becoming a benchmark, which is advantageous for France and him because he has always been talented.
Rabiot and Mbappe were teammates at PSG before the midfielder joined Juventus in 2019. The 27-year-old has had his best season yet and is receiving praise that some will argue has been due to him for a long time. He continues to impress, and the Premier League’s interest in his services is growing.
Rabiot, whose Old Lady contract expires in the summer, is said to be a target for Manchester City, according to reports.
Nasser Al-Khelaifi, president of PSG, insists that Mbappe and Lionel Messi will remain there :
Al-Khelaifi, the president of PSG, insists that his team will maintain control of the attacking duo. He advised Marca: “We are fortunate to have some of the world’s best players who, despite receiving offers from other clubs, wanted to play for PSG,”
Al-Khelaifi elaborated: We are working to maintain their existence. We’ll look at what we’re doing and make sure we can keep doing it; We intend to act accordingly. We will not make any errors.” Throughout PSG’s erratic season under Christophe Galtier, speculation has focused on Mbappe and Messi’s future.
In May of last year, the former signed a new three-year contract that will keep him with the Parc des Princes until 2025. He turned down Real Madrid’s interest in the process, but he has never seemed particularly happy with his life with the Parisians this season.
Meanwhile, Messi’s contract runs out at the end of the season, so his future is uncertain. An extension has been discussed, but no agreement has been reached thus far. The likelihood of returning to Barcelona is growing.
