The world number five halted a run of three straight losses in WTA finals with a victory in sweltering 36 Celsius (96.8 Fahrenheit) conditions at Memorial Drive in one hour and 43 minutes.
On the first of three match points, the Belarusian double-failed, but on the second, he served out the match. By putting her expertise to good use and finishing the week without dropping a set, second seed Sabalenka, who has won 10 titles, gained one more to her career total.
The Madrid Masters in May 2021 was her final prize presentation.
Sabalenka praised Noskova during the victory celebration, saying, “Congratulations to this young girl on a fantastic week.”

She said, “I want to thank my team for everything, for being here today. I have adored every minute of this incredible week.
The 2021 Roland Garros junior winner, Noskova, who is ranked 102nd in the world, will move up to the top 50 after defeating Victoria Azarenka and world No. 2 Ons Jabeur to reach her first final.
She was the youngest finalist in a WTA 500 competition since Caroline Wozniacki in New Haven in 2007 at the age of 18.
Sabalenka’s triumph culminated a solid start to 2023. She sustained the excellent late-season form that allowed her to advance to the WTA Finals showdown.
