Arsenal is in advanced negotiations to acquire Brighton forward Leandro Trossard and hopes to close a deal quickly. A long-term relationship with the 28-year-old player who wants a transfer has been agreed upon. In their pursuit of winger Mykhaylo Mudryk, Arsenal fell short of Chelsea, but discussions regarding Trossard have made rapid progress.
After a disagreement with Roberto De Zerbi, the Belgian international made it clear to his agent, Josy Comhair, on Friday that he had decided to leave Brighton. Comhair disputed De Zerbi’s account, accused him of humiliating his client, and stated that “a transfer is the most convenient solution” after the Brighton manager let Trossard go last week after criticizing the player’s training attitude.
In 2019, Trossard, who primarily plays on the left wing, made the move to Brighton from Genk for approximately €15 million. In Brighton’s 116 Premier League games, he has scored 25 goals. After three and a half seasons in the blue and white, the player’s contract is now due to expire in 2024 after Brighton activated a 12-month option to extend it. However, his future appears to lie elsewhere.
The Seagulls may now be forced to trade Trossard for the betterment of the dressing room because it appears that the forward is having trouble committing to De Zerbi’s project.
Fabrizio Romano says that as the deal gets closer, the two clubs are already in advanced talks :
He tweeted: Arsenal has begun negotiations to acquire Brighton’s Leandro Trossard, and an official offer for a permanent move has been prepared. Personal terms have been agreed upon; negotiations will continue to close the deal soon.”
Danny Ings, a striker for Aston Villa, has agreed to join West Ham for close to £15 million, including any add-ons. A medical has been scheduled and personal terms are close to being settled. After joining Villa from Southampton, Ings is in his second season there. If everything goes according to plan, he might play in West Ham’s crucial game against Everton on Saturday at home.
In this season’s 18 Premier League games, he has scored six goals. Nottingham Forest is in advanced negotiations to acquire Newcastle’s Chris Wood on loan with an option to purchase. After starting four league games this season, the center forward is open to the possibility of moving.
