Denzel Dumfries, a right-back for Inter Milan, is reportedly a target for Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester United. After a successful season at the San Siro, the Dutch defender is attracting interest from premier league clubs.
Dumfries, 26, has scored two objectives and contributed six aids in 31 games across rivalries. He is an important part of the defense for Simone Inzaghi’s team, but he could leave this summer.
According to Football Insider, Arsenal is interested in Dumfries as a potential right-back for the upcoming campaign.
The Arsenal team is on track to win the UEFA Champions League. They have a five-point advantage over Manchester City, who is in second place, in the Premier League. Despite his success in the right-back position this season, Ben White is primarily a center-back.
Another option is Takehiro Tomiyasu, but Arteta seems to want more competition for the position. Chelsea, on the other hand, is competing with them for Dumfries. The Dutchman has long been admired by the Blues. They have added a lot of players to their team, including Malo Gusto, a young right-back from Lyon.
In the summer, the Brazilian will join the club. As a result, acquiring the Inter full-back may not be a priority for them. The right-back has also been linked to Manchester United. The player is said to have a lot of admiration from Red Devils manager Erik ten Hag.
With doubts about Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s future, they might rekindle their interest in Dumfries. The English defender has successfully re-entered United. However, he is said to be seriously considering leaving Old Trafford at the conclusion of the season, according to reports.
Dumfries could be able to leave Inter with a bid between £40 and $50 million. The Nerazzurri have extended his contract by two years.
Rio Ferdinand advises Antony and Jadon Sancho of Manchester United to follow Arsenal’s Leandro Trossard’s lead:
Antony and Sancho, both attacking for Manchester United, have been advised by Ferdinand to follow in the footsteps of Arsenal winger Trossard. In January, the Belgian paid £27 million to transfer to Arsenal from Brighton & Hove Albion. In his Vibe with FIVE podcasts, Ferdinand stated:
“One aspect of Antony and Jadon Sancho’s game that I believe needs improvement is their willingness to take more risks. You can’t win this game if you don’t take risks.
Added he:
“Trossard, for my purposes, has been a masterstroke marking. He provides Arsenal with depth in the wide areas and up front… Wide players should not take risks, but this guy does. He receives the ball, advances, plays one-twos, dribbles, recruits teammates, and recognizes a pass.
In his first ten games at Arsenal, Trossard has scored one goal and assisted five others. This included his hat trick of assists in the 3-0 victory over Fulham on March 12th. Antony and Sancho, on the other hand, have had ups and down seasons at Manchester United.
Together, the pair has contributed 14 goals this season. Antony paid £85 million to join the Red Devils from Ajax last summer. In 2021, Sancho paid £74 million to transfer to Old Trafford from Borussia Dortmund.
