Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester United are reportedly interested in Inter Milan right-back Denzel Dumfries. The Dutch defender has had a successful season at the San Siro, and clubs in the premier league are interested in signing him.
Dumfries, 26, has made six assists and scored two goals in 31 games played in the competition. He plays a crucial defensive role for Simone Inzaghi’s team, but he might leave this summer.
Arsenal is interested in Dumfries as a potential right-back for the upcoming season, according to Football Insider. UEFA Champions League victory is within reach for the Arsenal team. In the Premier League, they are five points ahead of second-place Manchester City.
Ben White is primarily a center-back, despite his success at right-back this season. Another option is Takehiro Tomiyasu, but it seems like Arteta needs more competition for the position.
Chelsea, on the other hand, is fighting for Dumfries with them. The Blues have long admired the Dutchman. They have brought in a lot of new players, including Malo Gusto, a young Lyon right back. The Brazilian will join the club this summer. As a result, moving the Entomb fullback might not be the most important move in their strategy.
The right-back has also been linked to Manchester Joined in the interim. Manager Erik ten Hag of the Red Devils is said to admire the player greatly. They might rekindle their interest in Dumfries as a result of their doubts regarding Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s future.
The English defender has returned to United with success. However, according to reports, he is said to be seriously considering leaving Old Trafford at the conclusion of the season.
A bid of around £40-50 million could be adequate to prise Dumfries away from Cover. His contract with the Nerazzurri is still in effect for two more years.
Rio Ferdinand advises Manchester United players Antony and Jadon Sancho to follow Arsenal’s Leandro Trossard’s example:
Ferdinand has advised Antony and Sancho, both attacking for Manchester United, to follow in the footsteps of Arsenal winger Trossard. The Belgian player signed for Arsenal in January for £27 million from Brighton & Hove Albion. Ferdinand stated in his podcast Vibe with FIVE:
“The willingness to take more risks is one aspect of Antony and Jadon Sancho’s game that I believe needs improvement. This game is nothing if you don’t face obstacles.
Added he:
“To me, Brossard’s signing is a masterstroke. He adds depth to Arsenal’s front line and wide areas. Wide players shouldn’t take risks, but this guy does. He advances, plays one-twos, dribbles, recruits teammates, and recognizes a pass after receiving the ball.
Trossard has made ten appearances for Arsenal, scoring one goal and assisting five others. This included his three assists in the March 12, 3-0 win over Fulham.
In contrast, Antony and Sancho have experienced ups and down seasons at Manchester United. This season, the pair have scored 14 goals together. Last summer, Antony transferred from Ajax to the Red Devils for £85 million. Sancho moved to Old Trafford from Borussia Dortmund for £74 million in 2021.
