Arsenal 0-2 Liverpool: Player ratings as Arsenal are knocked out of the FA Cup for the third time in a row | FA Cup 2023-24
On Sunday, January 7, Arsenal was defeated 2-0 by Liverpool in the Third Round of the FA Cup at the Emirates Stadium.
The Gunners came into this game on the heels of a poor run of form. They have only one win in their previous five games in all competitions, with two draws and two defeats.
Mikel Arteta’s team lost 2-1 to Fulham in their last game, hence the Spaniard shuffled his players for this cup match.
Both Arsenal and Liverpool had promising starts to the game, although the hosts produced better chances to score.

Unlike the first half, Liverpool started the second half on the front foot, looking to maintain their momentum and score.
Arsenal, on the other hand, suffered a severe decline in performance, failing to score in five second-half tries, allowing the Reds to restore lost confidence.
