Ishan Kishan scored a second century in a row to lead Jharkhand’s comeback against Kerala in their Ranji Trophy Group C match on Thursday.
His smashing REPLY to Kerala’s Sanju Samson was a fiery ton. Kishan was a picture of grit and determination in a 195-ball 132 (9×4) that he led Jharkhand’s recovery from being 114/4 to 340 all out, less than a week after he blazed away to the fastest ODI double century against Bangladesh.
He received support from Saurabh Tiwary, who was bowled out by Jalaj Saxena and missed out on a century.
Basil Thampi (3/55) and Vaisakh Chandran (2/81) rattled the top order, leaving Jharkhand reeling at 56/3. The pair then scored 202 runs for the fifth wicket to revive the team.
Kerala received a fantastic 5/75 from Saxena. Kerala were 60/1 with a 195-run overall lead, and the match appears to be heading toward a draw at the JSCA International Stadium.
However, during the first two sessions, Kishan and Tiwary resisted Saxena and Thampi’s assault with the bat.
However, Jharkhand’s collapse began with Saxena taking five wickets when he bowled Tiwary and Kishan off consecutive overs in their first innings, which they lost in 105.3 overs.
Arjun Tendulkar takes two wickets On day three of Goa’s match against Rajasthan, left-arm seamer Arjun Tendulkar took 2/77.
Arjun struck out a well-se Mahipal Lomror (63) and Salman Khan (40) in his four innings.
Mohit Redkar returned with 3/46, and Rajasthan completed the day at 245/6, 302 runs behind Goa.
Goa had recently announced their most memorable innings score of 547 for 9.
Round one matches will begin on day two of India’s premier domestic red-ball competition on December 14th.
Notable developments included Delhi’s subsequent five wickets before the end of the day with Maharashtra trailing by 111 runs and Maharashtra’s dismissal of Delhi for 191 on the first day.
Nearly 35 years after Sachin Tendulkar made his Ranji Trophy debut and scored his first-ever First Class century, his son Arjun Tendulkar accomplished the same thing on Wednesday.
In contrast, Punjab opener Prabhsimran Singh stole the show with a blistering double-century in the Elite Group D match against Chandigarh.
