Andre Russell, Sunil Narine, Jonny Bairstow Among Players Signed By Abu Dhabi Knight Riders For ILT20: The all-rounders Andre Russell and Sunil Narine of the West Indies, as well as the English batsman Jonny Bairstow, are three of the players that have been signed by the Abu Dhabi Knight Riders (ADKR) for the first season of the United Arab Emirates International Twenty20 League (ILT20).
The roster for the ADKR team, which is owned by the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) franchise of the Indian Premier League (IPL), was revealed on Tuesday.
KKR is the owner of not just the Trinidad Knight Riders but also a team in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL).
Other members of the squad include the opener for Ireland, Paul Stirling, players from Sri Lanka named Lahiru Kumara, Charith Asalanka, and Seekkuge Prasanna, a player from South Africa named Colin Ingram, players from the West Indies named Akeal Hosein, Ravi Rampaul, and Raymon Reifer, a player from Jamaica named Kennar Lewis, a player from the United States named Ali Khan, and a player from the Netherlands named Brandon Glover.

“To begin, I would like to say that it is quite exciting to observe that our global footprint is still expanding in accordance with our vision and plan. KKR in the Indian Premier League, TKR in the Caribbean Premier League, and now ADKR in the Indian Twenty20 Cup,” said KKR CEO Venky Mysore in a statement.
“It is also wonderful that we have two of our most reliable players, Sunil Narine and Andre Russell, as a part of ADKR. We are overjoyed that Jonny Bairstow has decided to become a member of the Knight Riders family. He will, without a doubt, play a significant role in the trip that ADKR takes in ILT20.
In addition, we are overjoyed to announce that former members of TKR Akeal Hosein, Ravi Rampaul, Ali Khan, Colin Ingram, and Seekuge Prasanna have all joined ADKR.
The Knight Riders would like to extend a warm welcome to its newest team members, Paul Stirling, Charith Asalanka, Kennar Lewis, Lahiru Kumara, and Raymon Reifer. “In conclusion, I want to say that I believe the ILT20 will be a very entertaining event, and that we are looking forward to very competitive games as well as a lot of enjoyment.”
Earlier in July, the Emirates Cricket Board announced that the first ever International Twenty Twenty (ILT20) League will be played between the dates of January 6 and February 12, 2023. This window of dates was verified by the board.
The six-team franchise-style League will be played over the course of a 34-match calendar in the United Arab Emirates at venues that are both world-renowned and world-class. The first competition is expected to take place sometime between the 6th of January and the 12th of February in 2023. (ANI)
