Ancelotti says this Real Madrid squad is better than last season in the post-match conference
Ancelotti says this Real Madrid squad is better than last season in the post-match conference : Real Madrid’s last season was great, they won La Liga and the champions league in their last season. Since then they have added two more stars to their squad Aurelien Tchouameni from Monaco and Antonio Rudiger from Chelsea.
However, questions were being raised about their lack of attacking players. Since Luka Jovic left for Florentina and Marco Asensio’s uncertain future.
Madrid faced their arch rivals Barcelona
While preparing for their next season, this preseason Madrid had their clash with Barcelona on Saturday 24 July 2022. Barcelona smashed Madrid in El Clasico with 1-0 to Rapha’s strike.
However in the post-match conference, while interacting with the media the coach says this squad is better than the previous squad.
He said ” I think we have a better squad than the one we had last year. In the training sessions, you will see even more intensity. I think it was an even game, as the boys showed a lot more intensity in this match, especially in the first half.”
He further added ” I wanted to spread the minutes among boys and play some young players. Overall, I like how they played against a strong opponent.”
Benzene Will make comeback against Club America
Ancelotti also confirms that Karim Benzema will join the squad and play his first preseason game in the next match. He will be seen against Club America on Tuesday.
The coach said ” He should be playing 45 minutes against Club America and more against Juventus. I will test the line up against Juventus, that will start the UEFA super cup.”
Our two new players in the squad will contribute a lot. I have 27 players, and training all of them is not easy. The players just have are intelligent and understand the difficulty of training 27 players.
On asking about the future of Asensio and Dani Ceballos, the Italian replied it’s up to them and the club.
