When Real Betis take on Almeria on Saturday at the Municipal Stadium of the Mediterranean Games, they will be trying to avoid a third consecutive loss in the La Liga. Los Verdiblancos enter the game having suffered consecutive defeats to Barcelona and Celta Vigo, both of which occurred on their own turf, much to their dismay.
At the beginning of the month, Manuel Pellegrini’s team lost to the Catalans 2-1, and just a few days later, they lost to Celta Vigo 4-3 in a wild game. They are now seventh in the league with 31 points from 20 games as a result of this, but their next opponents are in a much worse situation. Almeria have only won six games and collected 22 points since returning to the top flight for the first time since the 2014–15 campaign.
Prediction
At the moment, neither team is in great form. Almeria’s squad is much better than Real Betis’, but they’ve been lying a lot lately.
Although Los Verdiblancos may win, a draw seems like the most likely outcome.
Prediction: Real Betis tied Almeria 1-1
Head-To-Head
- Real Betis, who have defeated Almeria four times, has won seven of their last 12 games against them.
- Real Betis, on the other hand, defeated Almeria 3-1 at home in October earlier this season.

- Only Mallorca (4) and Real Valladolid (4) have Almeria played more games at home in the top division without losing any of their games against Real Betis in La Liga. Almeria has not lost any of their three home games against Real Betis.
- Real Betis has not lost any of their five Andalusian derbies in La Liga, while Almeria has lost three of their last five.
- Almeria has only won one of their last six La Liga games, a 3-1 victory over Espanyol, and has only lost one of their previous seven matches played at home.

Team news
El Bilal Toure, a 21-year-old who has scored four league goals this season, is also vying for a spot in the starting lineup. He could start in the final third of the field. William Carvalho will be suspended once more for Real Betis, and Luiz Felipe is banned for the red card he received against Celta last time out.
In the meantime, Nabil Fekir is also suspended for receiving a caution during the team’s most recent match. In the middle of the defense, Edgar Gonzalez is expected to get the call, and Ayoze Perez could play in place of Fekir.
While Carvalho’s absence may see Andres Guardado maintain his position in the middle of the park alongside Guido Rodriguez, Abner is also likely to return to the XI at left back.
