All state chief ministers will get invitations to the 2023 Hockey World Cup
The Chief Minister made the announcement that all state chief ministers will be invited to take part in the Hockey World Cup 2023 schedule. The Chief Minister expressed gratitude to the Indian government, and in particular to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, for the Central Government’s assistance in organising the Hockey World Cup.
Hockey’s World Cup is being organised to the pride of Odisha and the entire nation. The Chief Minister pleaded with everyone to cooperate because of this. The debate was attended by the leaders of several political parties, who thanked the government for its efforts to promote sports and noted that Odisha’s reputation had improved as a result of hosting the World Cup for the second time in a succession.
Dharmendra Pradhan, the Union Education Minister, commended the state administration for making such a plan and suggested that everyone cooperate in order for Odisha to produce 100 Olympians in 2036, when the province would celebrate its 100th anniversary of independence.
In addition to this, the central government has provided various forms of support for local sports, branding the Rourkela-Bhubaneswar railway for hockey, including rare events like hosting the hockey world cup twice in a row in the school curriculum, involving citizens for the cleanliness of both Bhubaneswar and Rourkela, and more.
