Rodney Hogg receiving an odd bowling stroke goes viral
Social media users have been sharing an old video of former Australian cricket player Rodney Hogg ever since West Indies skipper Kraigg Brathwaite made remarks to him during the visitors’ historic Test victory at The Gabba.
In the Gabba Test, West Indies knocked Australia out for 207 after setting them a target of 216, spearheaded by rookie bowler Shamar Joseph (7/68). For the Windies, the victory marked their first Test victory on Australian soil in 27 years.
After West Indies’ thrilling eight-run triumph, captain Brathwaite poked fun at Hogg. He had given the visitors a very negative evaluation.
After the Windies captain’s comment on Hogg gained widespread attention, an old clip of the player has now been discovered online. In the video, Hogg is shown being oddly bowled by Michael Holding. The West Indies fast bowler delivers a full throw that ricochets off his pads and lands on the stumps.

A user named X posted the popular video to his social media accounts along with the witty comment:
“This is a classic leave from Rodney Hogg against Michael Holding, for those who are curious about who he is.”
At the post-match presentation following The Gabba victory, Brathwaite addressed the criticism leveled at him by the former Australian cricket player.
“I have to admit that during this Test match, we were motivated by two words. We were called ‘pathetic and hopeless’ by Mr. Rodney Hogg. That served as our source of inspiration. We aimed to demonstrate to the world that we are not weak. And I have to question him: Do these muscles have adequate size for him?
Due to a toe injury he sustained while batting in the game. Gabba Test hero Shamar will not be playing for the Dubai Capitals in the ILT20.
