After a fierce battle against India in the third Twenty20 International in Bangalore on Wednesday, the Afghanistan cricket team gained over the hearts of the supporters. Fans praised the squad for their determined performance. In a thrilling match that ended in a cliffhanger after two Super Overs, Team India just prevailed to win the series 3-0.
Afghan captain Ibrahim Zadran gave a positive statement about his team’s performance throughout the series during the post-match news conference, saying, “To be honest, I am very happy with the overall performance.” Despite our strong effort, we were not able to win the super over. The series has given us a lot of benefits. When we travel for the T20 World Cup, it will be of tremendous assistance.”
Shedding light on the positives for them from the tour, Zadran continued:
“We are quite pleased with the results since we have never played this kind of cricket against India, particularly in the T20s and batting department. Our batting department was really strong. We’ll attempt to learn from this series and concentrate on becoming better for the T20 World Cup going forward.”

India began the match as the first team to bat and, because of some explosive hitting from Rohit Sharma and Rinku Singh, amassed a huge score of 212/4 in 20 overs. With an excellent run with the ball, Fareed Ahmad stole the show for the visitors.
Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Ibrahim Zadran opened the chase with a 93-run partnership in 11 overs, laying a solid foundation. In the second part of the innings, Gulbadin Naib and Mohammad Nabi grabbed control and helped Afghanistan tie the score with India.
Both sides scored 16 runs in the first Super Over, which likewise resulted in a draw. Before India lost two wickets in the second Super Over, Rohit Sharma scored 11 runs. After that, Ravi Bishnoi took two wickets and gave up only one run to successfully defend 12 runs and win the match for India.
